It's time to change.

Dear Society,

I find your custom of working in the morning archaic. In the modern world of electricity, we are no longer bound by the rising and setting of the sun to do our work. In fact, our evenings and nights has become a time for social gatherings and, sadly, additional work. Futhermore, the internet facilitates communication between people from all around the world, from many different times, and our productivity has been enhanced, not diminished, by this.

However, you still expect me to wake up at 7am just to make it in time to the office by 9am. Do not blame me by saying, "you should have went to bed earlier," when rather, i should be blaming you, and i am blaming you, for leaving me in a state of sleep deprivity, where i'm more likely to make costly mistakes.

if you want me to be a productive member, then let me do things on my own time, including waking up.
